The quilt is finally complete.

And as promised I will explain all about it.

I am in my second year of my degree and the quilt is a graded unit project.

My topic is infant loss awareness. A personal subject and one that touched my heart. A taboo subject that is brushed under the carpet. Because of this angel parents are told some insensitive things. This is what my quilt is about.

Each panel is either a what not to say, what do say or an emotion not expressed by the parent.

Pattern is very important too because it is a brick work pattern the signifies the wall the subject of infant loss has surrounds it. Then this wall becomes an item of healing and safety.

It's not a lovely topic but I hope a beginning of a kinder world for angel parents everywhere.

So I dedicate this quilt to Pip.
