VE day in the sun

The sun came out just in time for scones, earl grey tea and a little fizz yesterday.

Friday fun day challange was for the mini monkeys to arranged a VE day celebration. Well long before the email came we where in full arranging mode. Bunting cut and monkeys decorating them. Dad once again on catering was out at 6am to shop for scones.

So with our wonderful home bunting pinned up we set up our goodies in the back garden by a new fence and played wartime tunes.

My husband told stories of family members who served and stories from history books he reads.

I then got out our Dr Zigs bubbles wands. The breeze sent bubbles of all sizes into the air.

Another unusual celebration arranged in lock down. It was not the crowds lining the streets and fireworks the world would have wanted but families,(households) stopped for a short time and let the world go by.

VE day 2020 will be remembered just as the first was.
